HONORARY AWARD

GIORGIO ARMANI

Marie Claire (South Africa) - - FASHION -

Who better to receive the Honorary Award for an outstanding career? It’s difficult to find a more stellar journey than that of Giorgio Armani, who launched his label at age 40. Armani is simultaneously a creator, a couturier, an artistic director and an outstanding administrator. His name has been synonymous with Italian luxe since 1975: in fashion, accessories, hotels, perfume, beauty, décor… Sole head of an empire that continues to expand, his longevity in the industry is no doubt partly due to his famously demanding nature, and to his refusal to follow trends in the sacrifice of style.

TOP EMBROIDERED WITH SILVER METAL AND VELVET STRIPS; LONG VELVET SKIRT.
