ANEW­STUDY by re­searchers at the Univer­sity of An­twerp in Bel­gium has re­vealed that shar­ing a meal with oth­ers could make you a bet­ter per­son. Based on early man’s com­mu­nal habits, it seems that learn­ing how to share food fairly pro­moted equal­ity and en­cour­aged moral­ity. The study showed that of the 466 stu­dents sur­veyed, those who had shared meals more fre­quently in their child­hood dis­played more al­tru­is­tic be­hav­iour as adults.
