…EVERYONE WANTED A BIG BOOTY

Marie Claire (South Africa) - - REPORTAGE - By SIBONGILE MAFU, columnist / News24.com

THE BOOTY. The badonkadonk. The derrière. For some reason a magnifying glass was placed on booties this year. Whether it was in music videos, on Instagram, in magazines or on music tours, if it didn’t feature a round rear, we weren’t interested. Kim Kardashian West stepped up her hotness quota with her provocative Paper magazine cover, Boity Thulo trended with the photograph of her bum in

MC’s 2014 Naked issue and Muvhango’s Buhle Samuels set Twitter ablaze after her shapely across our TVs. Even those who’ve been left wanting in the derrière area – like dear Miley Cyrus and Taylor Swift – joined the booty train. Miley wore a fake posterior (mocking Nicki Minaj) on stage during her Bangerz tour. The joke was on her, though, as the fake tush made her fall over. Taylor Swift’s ‘Shake It Off ’ video saw her attempt to twerk, but it just looked like she was jerking her waist from side to side. Both painful and delightful to watch.

There are no signs of booty-fatigue just yet, so expect to see gym-loads of women doing squats like their lives depended on it.
