the first gourmand scent

A gourmand fragrance uses synthetic edible notes, such as vanilla, chocolate or candy. With its sweet scents of caramel and vanilla, Angel shook up the perfume world when it was released in 1992.

revolutionary bottle

Thierry Mugler often used stars in his designs, and wanted to repeat the motif with Angel – but creating a star-shaped crystal bottle was no mean feat. The bottle was so expensive to produce that Thierry made it refillable and today, a bottle of Angel is refilled every 10 seconds.

powerful women

Thanks to bold, creative advertising and its ‘Beware of Angels’ slogan, Angel became known as the fragrance for strong, feminine women.
