Getting hair back to its happy place is as you think, says fashion and beauty editor, Kelly Fung

salon treatment (R350) in conjunction with Davines Micro Mist treatment (R150) as a hydrating add-on. Looking at my straw-like hair, I was enthusiastic to give it a go. We start with the Keratin Nourishing treatment – a quick shampoo, a good 15-minute restructuring treatment and a nourishing conditioner. This uninque formula contains phytoceuticals extracted from grapes, antioxidant polyphenols and essential oils, to help nourish the hair.

At the next visit, my hair was treated to the Davines Replumping treatment (R200). Its formula contains more phytoceuticals extracted from plums, antioxidant polyphenols and flavonoids, and hyaluronic acid to restore lost elasticity.

The results? Both treatments worked a dream on my hair, especially with the added advantage of the Micro Mist treatment, which opens the hair shaft and then seals it again once the treatment is locked in. My hair is almost back to its healthy state – I can actually run my fingers through my tresses without it breaking off. David suggests prolonging the salon benefits by pairing it with the right at-home haircare. Do you have a beauty question? Tweet us
