5 MINUTES WITH ... SHELLEY NICOLE CHRISTIANS

WE CATCH UP WITH THE CAPE TOWN DANCER AND STUNTWOMAN ABOUT WORKING ON BIG-BUDGET HOLLYWOOD FILMS

Marie Claire (South Africa) - - AGENDA - @MsShelleyNicole @msshelleynicole

HowOn one did of youmy actingget into jobs, stuntI had to work?do ght se uences, stunt driving, weapons training and dangerous falling and explosion scenes. I absolutely fell in love with it. Action lms are my favourite genre.

You worked with Charlize Theron on The Last Face and on Momentum with James Purefoy (both out later this year). What was that like? It was incredible working on these two high-action movies. I love challenges and I am a bit of an adrenaline junkie, so the fast-paced scenes were right up my alley.

What’s been your career highlight so far? The ama ing people I have worked with along the way, who I now call good friends. Most of them are people I grew up watching on TV so to be able to say I know them and work with them feels like a dream.

Who inspires you? I could de nitely take a few pages out of Jennifer Lope or Beyonc s book, because they are triple threats who constantly evolve to remain at the top of their game. But I also nd inspiration in the littlest of things from co-stars to fellow dancers hustling and reaching for their dreams every day.
