Marie Claire (South Africa) - - INSPIRATION -

The third of Carolina Herrera’s four daughters, Carolina Herrera de Báez, is creative fragrance director at the brand and also oversees the CH Carolina Herrera lifestyle label. She says when it comes to choosing and wearing perfume, there are no rules. ‘There is such an emotional component, you can’t control everything and I love that.’

As for fashion, De Báez feels it has an element of aspiration, with the AW15 collection from the House of Herrera epitåomizing this. The collection was presented to a group of fashion editors in Johannesburg and dazzled with its femininity and unsurpassed craftsmanship.

‘The Carolina Herrera woman is modern and independent; sophisticated and elegant,’ Carolina says. ‘Trends come and go. It’s silly because what’s in now will be out tomorrow; it’s not the end goal for us. Style should be forever. Timeless fashion and fragrance – that’s Carolina Herrera.’
