Sit down with your man­ager to set monthly or quar­terly mea­sur­able goals and track suc­cesses.

T-mi­nus 4 weeks

Write down your ac­com­plish­ments.

T-mi­nus 3 weeks

Tell your boss you want to talk salary. Prep your doc­u­ments.

T-mi­nus 1 week

Con­dense your notes into a sin­gle page and in­clude your fair mar­ket value. Re­sist the urge to fudge – your em­ployer has ac­cess to Glass­door too.

Blast off!

Give the doc­u­ment to your di­rect man­ager and walk him or her through it.

2 weeks af­ter: fol­low up.
