GREEN BEAN, MUSH­ROOM AND CAR­ROT MED­LEY

IN­GRE­DI­ENTS

■ 500g fresh green beans, cut in half ■ 2 car­rots, cut into thick strips ( juli­enned) ■ 65g (¼ cup) but­ter ■ 1 onion, sliced into half rings ■ 5ml (1 tea­spoon) crushed gar­lic ■ 250g but­ton mush­rooms, sliced ■ Salt and white pepper ■ 5ml (1 tea­spoon) lemon pepper

IN­STRUC­TIONS

Place green beans and car­rots in a lit­tle boil­ing wa­ter. Cover and cook un­til ten­der but still firm. Drain. Melt but­ter in a large fry­ing pan over medium heat. Saute onions, gar­lic and mush­rooms un­til al­most ten­der. Re­duce heat and cook for three min­utes. Stir in green beans and car­rots mix­ture and sea­son with salt, white pepper and lemon pepper. Cover and cook for five min­utes over medium heat.
