The hustle and bustle of the city and the demands of life can sometimes get a bit stressful. People always need a break but have a perception that you have to get out of your city to do this or that a getaway will break the bank. That isn’t necessarily true! You can treat yourself and a friend, your stokvel members, your man or kids to a getaway in one of Jozi’s gems, Park Inn Sandton.

This beautifully designed and tranquil hotel situated at the heart of Africa’s richest square mile is affordable and accessible by road, train or air. To experience the warmth of the staff and the luxurious rooms, you don’t need to have won the jackpot but with proper planning, you can afford this experience that will leave you feeling like a million bucks.

The décor in the 273 hotel rooms is absolutely beautiful and styled with wallpaper of the Joburg skyline, that reminds you that you are in the city of gold. The rooms have a TV with premium channels so you can enjoy your favourite shows away from home. Guests can also enjoy free Wi-Fi. You can choose a standard room, business friendly room or a junior suite depending on what you can afford.

Hotel food can sometimes be predictable and plain old boring but the chef at the Park Inn Sandton restaurant, RGB Bar and Grill, Executive Chef Jonathan Morneo always creates an unforgattable meal. There is something for everyone but meat lovers are especially spoilt for choice and the portions certainly provide value for money. Park Inn Sandton makes a breakfast fit for a king, with a range of options to choose from, including a lighter option or the full English breakfast.

It is easy to be carried away with Chef Jonathan's exquisite cuisine but fortunately there is a gym on the third floor of the hotel, where you can burn off those calories. There is a pool where you can enjoy a swim or a relaxing time by the poolside while sipping cocktails from the lobby bar. If you love shopping, the hotel is situated close to Sandton City and Nelson Mandela Square. Park Inn Sandton truly is a hidden gem in the city of gold.
