MORVITE AND CO­CONUT SCONES Makes 12 IN­GRE­DI­ENTS

250ml (1 cup) Morvite Vanilla Flavour

500ml (2 cups) cake wheat flour 3ml (½ tea­spoon) salt 20ml (4 tea­spoons) bak­ing pow­der 120g but­ter or mar­garine 150g (¾ cup) su­gar 125ml (½ cup) des­ic­cated co­conut zest of ½ lemon 2 eggs, beaten 125ml (½ cup) but­ter milk

IN­STRUC­TIONS

Pre­heat the oven to 200°C. Grease a bak­ing tray.

Sift to­gether all the dry in­gre­di­ents. Rub in the but­ter un­til the mix­ture re­sem­bles fine crumbs.

Add the su­gar and co­conut. Make a well in the cen­tre and pour in the beaten egg and but­ter­milk.

Mix to a soft dough. Turn out onto a floured sur­face and roll out to 12mm thick­ness.

Cut into de­sired shapes, brush with the egg and milk mix­ture and bake for 10-12 min­utes un­til golden brown.

Serve with whipped cream and jam.
