Love brought THEM TOGETHER

Members of Tshego Hope Women’s Club have come a long way with their stokvel

Move! - - STOKVEL - By Vincent Phahlane

WHY DID YOU FORM THE CLUB? We formed the stokvel to empower one another and improve our financial standing. We encourage each other to spend money wisely because it’s important to save as much money as possible.

HOW DOES THE GROUP OPERATE?

We have a funeral cover that covers each member, their spouses and family members. We also celebrate each member’s birthday by buying them a gift and giving it to them when we meet.

We also donate some money to a non-profit organisation once a year as our way of giving back to the community. We also attend financial management workshops to educate ourselves about saving.

WHAT ARE THE STOKVEL’S ACHIEVEMENTS?

We have managed to build and strengthen our relationship as a group and now we are a family. We continue to be great at what we do and still have bigger plans that we want to achieve.

WHAT ARE YOUR FUTURE PLANS?

We want to continue prospering and most importantly stay united. We are looking at investing in a franchise in the future.

We believe that having a business will enable us to create wealth for ourselves and our families.

We also want to be a good example to other stokvel groups by continuing with helping our communities.
