MTUBATUBA police officers earlier this month dressed in school uniforms and enjoyed a fun aerobics class and netball match at a local high school.

The purpose was twofold – to commemorate Youth Month and improve the image of the police in the eyes of the communities.

From the police station, the convoy of school uniform-clad officers proceeded to Vezobala High School.

‘The idea of the day was to have some fun while com- memorating Youth Month and to help the community to see that the police are there to help them, we are friendly towards the communities and it would serve them well to join us in fighting crime,’ said Mtubatuba SAPS Communications Officer, Captain Justice Hlabisa.
