Hi All!

ANOTHER week, another fabulous issue filled to the max! One of the best things about life is that we are surrounded by so many different types of people, and that’s why I love my job so much. I get the opportunity to share amazing stories with you, our fabulous readers, every week.

This week we have a wide variety of real life stories – some are truly amazing, and others, to be honest, are just completely bizarre. But that’s what makes them so interesting!

Lyida Shum, 37, has undergone over 100 cosmetic surgeries within four years so that she could look like a famous Chinese actress. Her obsession has taken over her life, resulting in her spending over R4.2-million on surgeries. But what makes this story even more interesting is that Lyida used to be the heaviest man in China. Read about her eye-popping transformation on pages 12 and 13.

Paul Sturgess, 30, is the UK’s tallest man at 2.31 metres tall, and he’s just had his first suit specially tailored for him, at a cost of R28 000. Read about the challenges his height has brought him, also on page 13.

Dora Alicia Mendez, 55, was found naked and missing a limb, in a cage. Dora has been locked up for 15 years! Turn to page 15 for more on this horrific story.

Becoming a vegan is no easy task. Twenty-two-year-old Dayna Young changed her eating habits and life – check out her body on page 16. She looks incredible!

This last story was sent in by a reader, #SHETOO, a 28-year-old who tells us about being a victim of sexual assault. While this is a graphic story, we decided to share it because we believe that many would relate – and everyone has the right to say ‘No!’ Please note, however, that this heartbreaking story is not for our sensitive readers. Turn to page 18 to read more.

I hope you enjoy reading these captivating stories just as much as I did. Until next week ....
