Teach kids to sing a song in their heads or do some­thing silly but chal­leng­ing, like walk­ing back­ward in a cir­cle. “You have to re­cruit dif­fer­ent parts of your brain for an ex­er­cise like that. It gets your mind un­stuck,” says Ken­ney.
