STAND- UP PERFORMER The addition of a small geometric weight to a charging cable is simple, yet ingenious

Award-winning design company Native Union has upgraded the boring, mass-production mobile device charging cable to something with a lot more practicality.

The Anchor Cable is an extra-long charging cable reinforced with Kevlar to make it stronger than your average charging cable. At just shy of two metres long, the cable allows the user to interact with their device while it is charging – regardless of where the charging point might be located. It is also fitted with an adjustable geometric weight that stops your cable from snaking its way back to the floor when your device is unplugged. The adjustable weight allows the device to stay right where you left it, so there’s no need to fish around for your charger on the floor or under your desk.

The cable comes in two colours, navy and taupe (pictured). Besides being a more stylish alternative to boring black or white, they’re said to be less prone to showing surface dirt.
