For all the in­ven­tors, gamers, devel­op­ers and de­sign­ers, it’s fi­nally here – yes, that’s right: a Rasp­berry Pi-pow­ered lap­top! The pi-top kit is a DIY lap­top that al­lows users to quickly start to ex­per­i­ment with elec­tron­ics, cre­ate PCBS and pro­duce their own 3D print­ing cre­ations, make hard­ware like IOT de­vices, ro­bots and con­trollers. What is a Rasp­berry Pi? The Rasp­berry Pi is a credit-card sized mi­cro­com­puter board de­vel­oped in the UK to make com­put­ing, cod­ing and pro­to­typ­ing ac­ces­si­ble, af­ford­able and fun. In­cluded in the pi-top kit: 338-mm HD LCD Screen with EDP in­ter­face and 1366 x 768 res­o­lu­tion; smart bat­tery with 10+ hours’ run time, 2-wire SMBUS V 2.0 in­ter­face; key­board (fully pro­gram­mable) and track­pad; 8 GB SD card with pre-in­stalled pi-top OS; power sup­ply; acrylic slice; im­age-based build man­ual; and a Rasp­berry Pi 3 board. The pi-top comes bun­dled with pi-top OS and other cod­ing soft­ware (a real-time code edi­tor, Rasp­bian op­er­at­ing sys­tem with Python, Scratch, Minecraft, Li­bre Suite, Chromium, 3D Slash, CEED Uni­verse and more).
