BRIAN GUSH, Motorsport Director

-

Brian was in charge of the Le Mans programme 2001–2003, finally winning the race with the Speed 8. Yet the regulations have since changed and Bentley won’t enter if it can’t win outright in the LMP1 category.

Brian now designs and looks after the administration of Continental GT3 race cars. This is an endurance series compet- ing across the world while offering customers a chance to race in cars that strongly represent Bentley’s production engineering.

Continental GT3S are powered by a 4,0-litre V8 twin turbo with 450 kw and 800 N.m. The body weighs 1 000 kg less than the road car thanks to carbon-fibre cladding and the removal of the all-wheel-drive system.

“Our motorsport plan is not affected by recent changes in the Volkswagen Group. We’re set up to ‘break even’, not make or lose money and that keeps us under the radar. By being on the race track we are serving the brand and customers.”
