Sash clamps, as we all know, are ex­pen­sive, es­pe­cially if you are only go­ing to use them in­fre­quently. The sketch along­side shows a cheap al­ter­na­tive made out of scrap wood. Any size wood will do. Screws or bolts may be used; a bolt, maybe, if you want to use the setup more than once.
