Grilled hake with simple SFH sauce
Juice of 1 lemon
4 hake fillets
1 cup (250ml) cake flour
125g butter, melted or 1/2 cup
(125ml) olive oil
Salt and freshly ground black
Simple SFH sauce
2 cloves garlic, chopped
2tbsp (30ml) olive oil
2tbsp (30ml) mayonnaise
2tsp (10ml) chopped parsley
Extra 1 tsp (5ml) olive oil
1tbsp (15ml) lemon juice
1tsp (5ml) Aromat
Sprinkle a few drops of lemon juice over hake fillets and then coat each fillet with flour.
Place the fillets under a grill and while they cook, brush with butter or olive oil and sprinkle with a pinch of salt and pepper
While the fish is grilling, make the sauce.
In a saucepan, fry the garlic in the 2tbs (30ml) olive oil for a couple of minutes.
Remove from heat. Mix the garlic with mayonnaise, parsley, extra olive oil, lemon juice and Aromat and stir and mix well.
Place the cooked fillets in a serving dish and serve with mashed potatoes and veggies. Don’t forget the sauce.
