‘Clean, flawless exams’
THE COUNCIL for Quality Assurance in General and Further Education and Training body, Umalusi, said drastic measures would be taken against anyone found guilty of any irregularities.
“We want clean and flawless examinations,” chief executive Dr Mafu Rakometsi said during an assessment of the state of readiness of the 2017 National Senior Certificate examinations.
As many as 634 814 full-time candidates will sit for the exams at 6 844 venues around the country.
The exams will begin on October 23, with 112 164 candidates being from Gauteng and KwaZulu-Natal having 169 023. – ANA
