Fast­jet ex­pands foot­print

SOUTH Africans trav­el­ling in Mozam­bique have a new op­tion with the launch of Fast­jet do­mes­tic ser­vices.

The an­nounce­ment that the low­cost air­line would ex­pand flights in part­ner­ship with So­lenta Avi­a­tion Mozam­bique, was made dur­ing the In­ter­na­tional Tourism Fair in Maputo. Tick­ets are on sale with the in­au­gu­ral flights on Novem­ber 3. Routes in­clude Maputo-Beira, Maputo-Tete and Maputo-Nam­pula.

Fast­jet, which launched in Tan­za­nia five years ago, and holds the ti­tle of Africa’s low-cost air­line from the Sky­trax World Travel Awards, op­er­ates in Tan­za­nia, Zam­bia, Zim­babwe and South Africa.

Its net­work in­cludes the Tan­za­nian do­mes­tic routes from Dar es Salaam to Kil­i­man­jaro, Mbeya and Mwanza, and in­ter­na­tional routes from Tan­za­nia to Lusaka in Zam­bia and Harare in Zim­babwe. – Staff Re­porter
