Fastjet expands footprint
SOUTH Africans travelling in Mozambique have a new option with the launch of Fastjet domestic services.
The announcement that the lowcost airline would expand flights in partnership with Solenta Aviation Mozambique, was made during the International Tourism Fair in Maputo. Tickets are on sale with the inaugural flights on November 3. Routes include Maputo-Beira, Maputo-Tete and Maputo-Nampula.
Fastjet, which launched in Tanzania five years ago, and holds the title of Africa’s low-cost airline from the Skytrax World Travel Awards, operates in Tanzania, Zambia, Zimbabwe and South Africa.
Its network includes the Tanzanian domestic routes from Dar es Salaam to Kilimanjaro, Mbeya and Mwanza, and international routes from Tanzania to Lusaka in Zambia and Harare in Zimbabwe. – Staff Reporter
