Grim fate for gate-crash­ers

A 414-YEAR-OLD let­ter de­tail­ing the trial of Ur­sula Grimm, ac­cused of witch­ery, sold on auc­tion in the US for nearly $3 000. In 1603, Grimm and six other witches were ac­cused of gate-crash­ing a wed­ding. The let­ter states Grimm’s hus­band was ex­pected to pay for their pub­lic ex­e­cu­tion. – Auc­tions Writer
