Nor­ton-Rose Ful­bright cleans up at SAPSA Awards

Nor­ton-Rose Ful­bright South Africa con­tin­ues to rack up the ac­co­lades as the com­pany was named Best Law Firm and Pro­fes­sional Ser­vices Firm of the Year at the in­au­gu­ral South African Pro­fes­sional Ser­vices Award (SAPSA) hosted at Em­peror’s Palace in Jo­han­nes­burg dur­ing Oc­to­ber. Nor­ton-Rose Ful­bright’s global chair­man, Sbu Gule, was also awarded with the Life­time Achieve­ment Award for Ex­cel­lence in Em­ploy­ment and Labour Law at the event’s award cer­e­mony, which was hosted at Em­peror’s Palace in Jo­han­nes­burg. Gule, global and South African chair­man of Nor­ton Rose Ful­bright, fo­cuses on em­ploy­ment and labour law and im­mi­gra­tion. He’s been in­volved in sev­eral land­mark cases and has gained ex­pe­ri­ence in lit­i­ga­tion in the Mag­is­trate’s Court and High Court as well as in com­mer­cial mat­ters. He has also acted as a judge in the Labour Court and has sat as an as­ses­sor in the High Court. “We are proud to have won this award,” said global chief ex­ec­u­tive Peter Martyr. “The qual­ity and scale of the pro­fes­sional ser­vices sec­tor in South Africa is sig­nif­i­cant and is a key fac­tor to our global strat­egy in both the devel­op­ment and po­ten­tial of the re­gion. “The en­tire prac­tice con­trib­uted to this, and we’re very pleased with our achieve­ment and grate­ful to Sbu for his com­mit­ment and con­tri­bu­tion to the global prac­tice and to our ef­forts in South Africa”.
