Ac­cord­ing to Jackman, most peo­ple are be­ing mo­ti­vated and driven by fear and they don’t even re­alise it. She ex­plains that fear is a so­cial con­struct, and not in our na­ture. “Hu­man be­ings are not born in fear, a baby doesn’t know fear; a baby knows love. It’s our train­ing that teaches us: ‘ You’ve got to fight to sur­vive! It doesn’t mat­ter what’s go­ing on, you’ve got to push your­self! Stand on any­body just get there to the top!’ And then you get there and it’s ac­tu­ally not as sat­is­fy­ing as you thought it was go­ing to be.” She ex­plains that her work­shops are about mo­ti­vat­ing peo­ple with love and not fear.
