This is the second time the four-day event was hosted in Asia and the first for Singapore. The Geneva Assembly, formed in 1973, is the world’s foremost gathering for international insurance industry leaders. More than 50 key decision-makers in insurance gather annually at the event to deliberate on the economic and strategic challenges facing the industry, which is followed by an analysis of practical solutions which insurers can provide. The event was held in collaboration with the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) as well as with the fund manager, ACR Capital Holdings. Delegates were hosted by Singapore’s Prime Minister, Lee Hsien Loong, at the Istana and the keynote address was delivered by Deputy Prime Minister Tharman Shanmugaratnam.
