Runner's World South Africa - - The Loop -

When I ran during my second pregnancy, I had to force myself to take it easy when I felt uncomfortable. In dealing with that ‘heavy leg’ feeling, and frequent toilet breaks at the side of the road, I watched my speed and distance take a disappointing nosedive. So why do it? Well, pregnancy can be stressful, and running helps to keep my mind in check. It fills my body with positive endorphins – which can only be good for my impending new arrival. For now, I have to accept that in the next 40 weeks, I’m going from ‘runner’ to ‘preggie runner’. – DIA HARVEY, JOHANNESBURG
