A GLASS OF WINE FOR THE OUTDOOR

-

Rhebokskloof Wine Estate in Paarl is well-known amongst wine lovers, outdoor enthusiasts and families as a place where premium wines can be enjoyed in an outdoor environment.

The co-owner of Rhebokskloof, Albé Laker, is an avid camper, and especially enjoys getaways to Botswana and Namibia, but the challenge of transporting his favourite wines over rough terrain in the traditional packaging made him think of alternatives. As a born innovator he united his engineering background and passion for quality wine to find the solution: premium wine in a 187ml pouch.

The wine pouch is the result of many hours of research to identify the most appropriate material and filling process to protect the quality of the wine. With saving nearly 50% weight and 30% space, the outdoor enthusiasts will also be thrilled about the energy saving in cooling the wine pouches. A pouch weighs 2g compared to a bottle’s 150g/187ml.

The wine is packaged in boxes of twelve pouches and wine lovers can choose between Shiraz and Chardonnay. The pouches are light in weight and small to store. It is also more environmentally friendly than glass bottles.

Connoisseurs do not have to fear that the quality would be neglected. It is exactly the same premium wine as in the Rhebokskloof Shiraz and Chardonnay 750 ml bottles.

The pouches are ideal for 4x4, horse-riding, boating and fishing trips, hiking, picnics and evenings by the camp fire. It is also the solution for when the need exists for only one glass of premium wine instead of having to open a bottle of wine.

The Rhebokskloof Shiraz and Chardonnay are the main cultivars that are planted on the farm and it is made with extra passion and care by the winemaking team. * For more information or to place an order send an email to wine@rhebokskloof.co.za
