ESTATE LIVING DREAM

New cluster village in Serengeti Estates will offer broad appeal

-

WITH its launch of The Signature Residences, a cluster village, Serengeti Estates has entrenched its status as one of Joburg’s most desirable addresses.

When developers took the helm at Serengeti last year, one of the main aims was to ensure its appeal to a broad range of buyers.

“Serengeti has traditionally offered freehold homes – ideal for people who want a custom-designed house,” says developer David Nagle.

“We wanted to broaden appeal, so we introduced the Whistling Thorn apartments in 2017 – ideal for first-time or entry-level buyers.

“Now, with the launch of Signature, we’re extending our reach further. It is ideal for young families who want space for children, nor the maintenance associated with a freehold home.

“Clusters are equally attractive to empty nesters who enjoy the golf estate lifestyle, but prefer lock-upand-go freedom and lack of maintenance.”

The Signature Residences comprise 154 sectional title homes overlooking the magnificent golf course’s first, second and tenth holes. Buyers have a choice of four types of unit, including single- and double-storey options.

The units, measuring 218m² to 320m², offer three and four bedrooms with various bathroom configurations. All have double garages, with space for a golf cart.

The Signature Residences’ design has set out to create a perfect blend between indoor and outdoor areas, says Andrew Payne, founder and managing director of Drew Architects. Views are critical to this aesthetic and, since The Signature Residences has been developed as an island surrounded by the golf course, it is certainly able to deliver.

To optimise these vistas, all living areas within the units are openplan, with large sliding doors opening to invite nature inside.

“While the look is contemporary and fresh, it’s homely and inviting. We’ve created a balance between modern and rustic,” Payne says.

Property director John Hart says: “Homes will feature luxury finishes, including SMEG appliances, Hans Grohe taps, Caesarstone tops, LED downlights, a selection of floor finishes to suit personal preference and an exquisite free-standing bath in the main bathroom.

“Homeowners will be able to select from optional extras (including air-conditioning, underfloor heating, double glazing and a marbelite swimming pool) to create their dream lifestyle.”

The Signature Residences’ residents will be able to enjoy superb amenities, including a golf course, extensive walking and running trails, and a clubhouse.

“We believe The Signature Residences is an outstanding complement to Serengeti’s offering. With our Whistling Thorn apartments and earthworks well underway for the conversion of our nine-hole course into a par three, 18-hole golf course, we’re confident the estate has something for everyone,” Nagle says.

Phase 1 comprising 55 units will soon break ground.
