SLOW Magazine - - Must Go -

Dubai is a city of many firsts, from being the first to have the world’s tallest skyscraper to having the first Minister of Happiness. Now, it’s done it again: Dubai is the first city in the world to launch its own official font. Understanding that expression is the way everyone shares their thoughts and ideas, and that writing is a form of this, the font was designed to unite the world through expression. Available in 23 languages, it perfectly demonstrates the diversity, creativity, and innovation of Dubai. The font is already being used with pride by government agencies, businesses, and individuals. The Dubai Font, in partnership with Microsoft, is a project commissioned by His Highness Sheikh Hamdan and launched by The Executive Council of Dubai.
