Af­ter an al­most fa­tal ac­ci­dent as a teenager, three-time Pulitzer Prize-win­ning Cana­dian pho­tog­ra­pher and artist Bar­bara David­son, who owes her very sur­vival to the fact that she was in a Volvo, has teamed up with the es­teemed brand to cre­ate some­thing ex­tra­or­di­nary. Through the lenses of the on-board safety cam­eras of the new Volvo XC60, David­son has cre­ated a se­ries of stun­ning pho­to­graphs cap­tur­ing life on the streets in Copenhagen, Den­mark, from a com­pletely new per­spec­tive. “It is thanks to th­ese cam­eras and other on­board sen­sors that mod­ern city life is made safer for pedes­tri­ans and other road users,” says David­son. “With this project we con­nect art and safety for peo­ple to see the ben­e­fits of this tech­nol­ogy.” For more in­for­ma­tion on the new Volvo XC60, visit www.volvo­cars.com.
