MHANGO TO JET OUT TO PORTUGAL
Bidvest Wits striker, Gabadinho Mhango, is expected to jet out to Portugal in November, with indications that Vitoria Setubal is looking at the possibility of signing him.
As revealed in last week’s edition of Soccer Laduma, Mhango has been linked with a move to Portugal, with Siya sources at the time adding that Vitoria Setubal is believed to be one of the Portuguese clubs keeping a close eye on the player.
It is now believed that the club will have a closer look at him in the coming weeks and he could put pen to paper on a deal during the January transfer window.
The Siya crew has been informed that AmaZulu FC and Maritzburg United have also shown an interest in the Malawian international, though the 26-year-old’s salary demands caused both of the KwaZuluNatal outfits to take a back seat.
Mhango has also been linked with a move to Kaizer Chiefs in the past, and it is believed that if a move to Portugal does not materialise, the Soweto giants could reignite their interest in him.
That could cause a bidding war between Chiefs, AmaZulu and Maritzburg, and Amakhosi would be expected to have the edge over their PSL counterparts in this case.
As it stands, however, a move to Portugal is looking promising for Mhango.
