Jali & Manyisa to break Bucs hearts?

Soccer Laduma - - Make Your Point -

A few years ago, you would not have betted on Andile Jali and Oupa Manyisa pulling the strings in the heart of midfield for Mamelodi Sundowns, orchestrating the downfall of Orlando Pirates. It’s a strange reality in the unpredictable game of football – the stocky duo will likely line up against their former team at Loftus Versfeld on Saturday afternoon, and it remains to be seen what kind of reception they will receive from the Buccaneers faithful. This is more so with Jali than with Manyisa, as the latter has played against Pirates a couple of times since making the switch to Chloorkop at the beginning of last season, while this will be Jali’s first time coming up against the side where he made a name for himself. The Soweto giants’ fans’ hearts were left broken when the Matatieleborn player chose Sundowns over Pirates in June, when he decided on returning from Europe. This is a midfield partnership that brought so much delight to Bucs fans, right up until it was dismantled when Jali moved overseas and Manyisa, it was argued, was never really the same after that. On Saturday, the two midfield dynamos will seek to break Pirates’ hearts… just one more time.
