Sundowns still owe us Joyce ‘Mama Joy’ Chauke – Orlando Pirates supporter

Soccer Laduma - - Make Your Point -

“This is a very important to game to everyone involved with Orlando Pirates. This might not be a Soweto Derby, but this game is equally big. There has been very few draws between the two teams. Mamelodi Sundowns still owe us big time after beating us 6-0 and we are

still bleeding from that. We know that they are not doing well at the moment and look more like a team in a building process, so I think it provides us with an opportunity to avenge the 6-0. We have to beat them when they are still in the wheelchair because, once they start walking again, it will be very diff ficult to beat them. This game came a at a very good time for us, so it will b be very important for our boys to s show up and do the job on Saturday. I am expecting a lot of goals in this game because Pirates have been s scorings lately and, with the likes of Thabo Qalinge coming back from i injury, we are firing from all angles. The derby win against Kaizer Chiefs recently also helped in terms of confidence and you can see that the boys are high on confidence. We haven’t had the team like the one we have now in a very long time and, as a supporter, I am confident because I can see how well the team is doing. This might not be a Soweto Derby, but this is a very big game. It is the battle of the star and there are bragging rights attached to this encounter. A game of this magnitude can also determine how well or bad our season is going to be. Some teams recover from losing such games, some don’t. That is how important winning this game can be. It is also a Gauteng derby, accompanied by the bragging rights. This will be a cracker of a game. A good showing from the boys will also serve as a warning to Chiefs because they are next after Sundowns. Even though we beat them 3-1 last time we faced them, I am still hurt from the 6-0, so we have to give them another 3-1 to make it six.”
