On the Telkom Knockout win against Sundowns

Soccer Laduma - - How we beat Downs -

Playing against a big and very good side like Sundowns requires no motivation because it is motivation in itself to the players. I am happy that we progressed to the semi-finals of the competition. The boys went all out on Saturday. Our plan was to press them and not allow them to play their normal short passing game. We knew that if we did that, we would be forcing them to play long aerial balls, which they did. We wanted that because we knew that with long balls we have a chance because whenever a long ball is played, either it gets to be a 50/50 ball or at least there is a chance on fighting for it while the recipients is still trying to control the ball. We did that, played a high pressing game, which made Sundowns commit a lot of errors. We capitalised on that and here we are, in the semi-finals.
