page 60 Liz McKenzie is no sissie but attributes that to growing up with an older brother. “It was a case of keep up or get left out. And the fear of losing out led me to a life of adrenalin sports such as bungee jumping, hang gliding, paragliding, sky diving and white-water rafting”. Now in her retirement, Liz finds back-road cycling a great substitute, and Le Tour de Krantz was born, a yearly cycle in the countryside by a group of Liz’s friends and fellow retirees. Liz has entertained us regularly with her stories on the annual ‘race’, and you can read about Le Team’s latest adventure in the Eastern Free State in her story WhyTour France when you can Tour De Krantz? (page 60).
