World-travelled food and wine connoisseur and writer, and regular contributor to our wine and restaurant reviews, Greg Landman was on his way to New Zealand about 20 years ago when he realised how far away it was. The alternative was to semigrate to West Beach, Cape Town, and he has never looked back. Having eaten in hundreds of restaurants and tasted umpteen bottles of the best the Cape has to offer, he says he is “as happy as a little pig in the proverbial hay stack”. But the outside world still entices, with jaunts to France and Portugal, his favourites at the moment.
