Let it Snow

South African Country Life - - Your Letters -

When I saw your post on A Winter Wonderland in pics as snow hits SA on your website, I just had to share our experience. When we heard snow was forecast, my husband and I decided to head out to Tulbagh on Sunday and stay the night so we could

get to the snow nice and early. We were not disappointed. We left at around 9h00 and as we were heading up the mountain towards Matroosberg Private Nature Reserve, the constant rain turned into snow.

The kids loved every second of running and throwing snowballs. My six-year-old boy Elijah never wears shoes and after a few minutes of running around in his wellies, decided it wasn’t even worth it in the snow. He only lasted about ten minutes before putting them back on. The snow was so soft and white and it was so wonderful to see everyone having fun. (edited)
