Sinazo Yolwa

The presenter and model has travelled the globe, but says for her, jeans take the cake.

“I know that we are supposed to suffer for beauty, but I like being as comfortable as possible when I travel, and when I go to London, I always find myself at the Bicester Village.

“It's just outside London, and is almost like Access Park in Cape Town. They have all sorts of designer brands at very discounted prices. So I always get my Guess, Karan Millen and even TK Maxx jeans, all for as little as R200 to R300,” she says.

Sophie Ndaba

Sophie always finds herself travelling to beautiful locations around the world, from Thailand to Italy, but says that on her trips to Singapore, she buys the traditional garb that Singaporean women wear.

“I have a beautiful traditional dress from Singapore that I absolutely love. It is a colourful, bold-print dress and is almost the same as what the flight attendants wear. When I recently went to Dubai, I bought their traditional shawls that they wrap on their heads. That’s what I love about travelling to different places, they all have these special things.”

DJ Cleo

DJ Cleo travels abroad to indulge in his favourite brands.

“I bought a lot of G-star jeans abroad when Fabiani still had the sole licence to sell them in SA. In SA they sold them at ridiculously expensive prices. London had a wide range at reasonable prices.

“I recently bought two pairs of exclusive Burberry sneakers in France,” he says.

DJ Cleo cautions: double check exchange rate properly before making any purchase overseas.

“I once bought Guffy sneakers without checking the exchange rate. The amount was double what I had expected to pay.”
