Sisulu’s comments about Khwezi are unbelievable

Sowetan - - Opinion -

Lindiwe Sisulu must really be joking if she thinks she is worthy of the highest office in the land, following her comments on Fezekile “Khwezi” Kuzwayo. She told Radio 702 presenter Eusebius McKaizer last week: “I think that she [Khwezi] believed that she was raped.”

Sisulu has put the final nail in her political coffin in her efforts to become ANC and SA president. In a country where women are told that spousal rape is a family issue, Sisulu should have known better.

I believe that we believe that Sisulu believes that we believe what we should not believe. Confused yet? Just about as confusing as Sisulu’s statement.

Sisulu has revealed her unacceptably high levels of ignorance where women’s issues are concerned. Maya Angelou said: “When people show you who they are, believe them the first time.” Unfortunately for you, we believe you Lindiwe Sisulu. Just saying. Sandile Ntuli, Johannesburg
