ALBERTINIA Canca Albertinia had their awareness walk on Saturday 28 October, but with little support from the community. According to the Chairperson for Cansa Albertinia, Sheila Kendal Slabber, they put up posters all over the town and yet it was not supported. “It is with great sadness and disappointment that there was so little support from the community. Albertinia is a small town we have volunteers that give up their time to support the patients, as well as their families. We ask in return for support when it comes to events that are organised,” she said. She thanked the participates, traffic department, marshalls as well as Albertinia Handelshuis for their support. Should you have any queries about equipment, counselling or just general support, contact Kendal Slabber on 072 326 4477.
