Steven Zwane has been appointed CEO of the National Student Financial Aid Scheme.

Zwane, an NSFAS recipient himself, has more than 12 years’ executive management experience in banking, consulting, education and training, covering strategy, operations and youth developmen­t. He has a BSc in computer science and an MBA. Financial services group MMI Holdings has appointed Nontokozo Madonsela chief marketing officer. She will oversee marketing for the entire group, which includes Momentum, Metropolit­an, Multiply and Guardrisk. Madonsela, who has a BCom, was head of marketing for personal and business banking for Standard Bank. Michelle Dobson has been promoted from the position of business unit director to MD of digital marketing agency Lumen.

Dobson has led the marketing department­s of brands such as British Airways, Cell C and adidas. Her experience includes branding, advertisin­g, customer relations and direct marketing. Schneider Electric’s IT division has appointed Riaan de Leeuw — who has almost 25 years’ experience in the field — vicepresid­ent of Anglophone Africa. De Leeuw said: “As connected devices accelerate beyond humans . . . Schneider Electric is perfectly positioned to drive the IoT [Internet of Things] trend with our partners.”
