Dubai busiest airport for globetrotters

Dubai airport was the world’s busiest for international passengers in 2017 for the fourth year running, with 88.2 million travellers, operator Dubai Airports said this week.

International traffic increased by 4.6 million passengers, or 5.5%, compared to the previous year, it said. A major transit hub on transcontinental air routes, Dubai is one of several Gulf airports to have had prodigious growth in recent years.
