Pink pioneer

South Africa triumphed over Zimbabwe in the first day-night test played in South Africa, in December 2017. Day-night cricket uses a pink ball and has been embraced by most other cricketing nations. Linda Zondi has been encouraging the introduction of pink-ball cricket to South Africa and told ESPNcricinfo: “From a selection point of view it only makes sense that players familiarise themselves with the process.”
