International law firm Pinsent Masons has appointed George Sibanda head of the firm’s Johannesburg office.
Sibanda is a corporate specialist who has worked on numerous capital raisings.
He has also played a lead role in Project Naledi, which supports the educational and sporting development of schoolchildren in Soweto. Faith Mangope, e.tv Sunrise anchor and radio personality, has been appointed station manager at Massiv Metro, a hybrid online and terrestrial radio station that is streamed live in eight Johannesburg taxi ranks, 800 taxis and online.
Her career in broadcasting began when she joined 702 while at the University of the Witwatersrand. Malibuye Cossie and Nicki van’ t Riet, pictured far right, have been promoted to directors at law firm Norton Rose Fulbright South Africa.
Cossie is a banking and finance lawyer based in Johannesburg.
He specialises in lending, syndicated lending and project finance, and acts for major commercial banks and development finance institutions. He has been with the firm since 2009.
Van’ t Riet is a public interest, human rights and pro bono lawyer in Cape Town.
She deals with a range of civil matters intended to promote the public good and to provide access to justice for indigent individuals and a diverse range of NGOs.
