Osaka’s Open win bags her big sponsor

Naomi Osaka signed an endorsement deal with Nissan on Thursday, days after winning the US Open in an upset victory over former No 1 Serena Williams.

Osaka will appear in global promotions and advertising for the Japanese carmaker, which will support her as a tennis player, the company said.

A spokesperson said the contract would be for three years.
