Meat retailer ready to cut a deal

● Park Village Auctions will soon be auctioning assets from a Kuleka-based meat retailer and food processing concern which is in business rescue.

The commercial property, at 10-12 5th Street, Kuleka, Empangeni, comprises an office component with a waiting room, a reception area, 14 offices, a cash room, a strongroom, cold rooms, double-door smokers; a warehouse and packing sheds featuring chiller rooms, deep-freezers, packing areas, kitchens, dispatch areas; a meat processing factory; workshops; changing-room facilities; carports for eight vehicles; and customer parking bays.

Loose assets include Maurer-Atmos four-trolley steam cookers, cooking cabinets, bin trolleys, a Vermag fourtrolle­y double-door cooker, a Smart 3008 rotary screw compressor, a casing spool, Handtman automatic sausage filling lines, BTE blenders, KS 175 micro cutters, stainless steel platform scales, BTE mincers, Laska cutters, a pickle injector, stainless steel prep tables, Multivac vacuum machines and assorted office equipment.

Vehicles comprising Linde and Toyota forklifts, an Isuzu NPR 400 and FRR 500, a Nissan and a Mercedes-Benz 1214 refrigerat­ed body rigid trucks will also be on the block.

Says PVA’s Keith Green: “Most companies in business rescue are simply in need of a capital injection or restructur­ing to continue operating and therefore represent a great opportunit­y for investors. We expect a good showing from similar food processing or manufactur­ing concerns.”

The sale will commence on site at 11am tomorrow.
