STRANGE BUT TRUE
200km southwest of Serbia’s capital, Belgrade, lies a charming traditional mountain town called Drvengrad. Meaning, “timber town”, Drvengrad has a church, a library, a cinema, a few restaurants, shops and houses. The only thing is it’s not actually a town but an elaborate movie set, built by filmmaker Emir Kusturica in 2004 for his Life is a Miracle. Now, it’s a tourist attraction.
