Murderer’s trail from club to jail
July 13 2008
Rajiv Narandas stabbed 31-yearold Veenand Singh to death outside a Sandton nightclub and later handed himself over to police.
Narandas went as far as the Constitutional Court to escape jail. Narandas first appealed against his conviction and sentence to the High Court in Johannesburg. His conviction was confirmed, but his sentence reduced from 18 years to 15. Narandas then took the matter to the Supreme Court of Appeal and lost.
