MTN blames technical hitch for network issue

TECHNICAL problems were at the root of telecoms service provider MTN’S network problems, which began on Thursday.

MTN said via its helpline that technicians had been working to resolve the problem and could not estimate how long the turnaround time would be.

The issues, it said, had affected users all over South Africa, but not all users had been affected.

MTN grew its data income revenue by 31.9% following significant improved data network quality and capacity across key markets. MTN has increased its data users to 122.7 million.
