MTN blames tech­ni­cal hitch for net­work is­sue

TECH­NI­CAL prob­lems were at the root of tele­coms ser­vice provider MTN’S net­work prob­lems, which be­gan on Thurs­day.

MTN said via its helpline that tech­ni­cians had been work­ing to re­solve the prob­lem and could not es­ti­mate how long the turn­around time would be.

The is­sues, it said, had af­fected users all over South Africa, but not all users had been af­fected.

MTN grew its data in­come rev­enue by 31.9% fol­low­ing sig­nif­i­cant im­proved data net­work qual­ity and ca­pac­ity across key mar­kets. MTN has in­creased its data users to 122.7 mil­lion.
